The SU Group, named after it's founder Shri Santokh Uppal was set in Mumbai in the year 1967. Having done his engineering in UK, he had a valuable insight of this industry at Pleuger Pumps – Germany for a few years. He then returned to set up one of India's first units to manufacture pumps in this country, thereby earning him the unofficial title of "Father of the Submersible Pump Industry & Pioneer of the Dewatering Pump Industry".
